DaWanda Backstage

dear readers,

 May I bestow unto thee the warmest of greetings for the new year, and the wellest of wishes for you in 2008.

Lina is doing a great job modelling there. My oh so talented friend Drea created this design especially for us for our first ever DaWanda t-shirt. I took her design to the screen printers and spent a happy afternoon trying to get all the paint onto the screen and not all over myself. You may notice that the design is in some funny, unfamiliar language. Yep, that’s German! Unikat is a word in German which as you might guess relates to something very original and unique, which is what we like at DaWanda. A few t-shirts ended up with very ”special edition” splotches, and even one especially “unikat” limited edition one-off where I accidentally printed onto the t shirt upside down.

It was my first time screen printing by myself and I am looking forward to getting printy again. If you’re interested in getting your hands on one of these, let me know. Screen printed on American Apparel’s finest, they might just be available soon to buy in a DaWanda store near you.
