There are many tasty treats that you can find on DaWanda, and one in particular which caught the eye of lots techno-gadget bloggers out there this week is the bacon phone pouch by Antjes.

So many blogs picked up on this handmade felt pouch, and each of them had something funny to say about it too!

The creator behind the bacon phone pouch is Antjes, who is based in Germany and makes all kinds of beautifully crafted felted objects. We asked Antjes for the story behind the bacon phone case and this is what she told us,

“ I have a very good friend, he is my best friend ever. His name is Werner Tschernoussow - we call him Jesse. He had seen, what i can do with wool and he get enthusiastic about my little iPod-case in grey with a little apple on it. He told me to produce more of them, also for iPhones etc.! And we were sitting in a restaurant in Munich and had a very good meal, than he asked me “couldn´t you produce an iPhone-Case that looks like bacon??? I imagine, that a case like this is a crazy thing!” A week or so later I felted this case and he was enthusiastic about this case too….he made the photos for my site on DaWanda and he is really very happy about the story of the bacon-case. It was the idea of Jesse, I am the producer. All the congratulations are for him too!“
