Time for a Tea Break?

Here in the DaWanda office, we all love a good cuppa char (as they say back in the wilds of Northern England, from where I originate). Whether chamomile, darjeeling, honey lemon ginseng or a good old builder’s brew, a cup of tea is the perfect way to calm your nerves, sharpen your mind and warm your insides on a cold and rainy autumn day.

It should be no surprise, then, that tea is both a support-system and a design-inspiration for many of the crafty types who are sharing their wares on DaWanda. A cup of tea is an excellent handwarmer when you’re spending hours stitching/hammering/painting in a studio, and fortunately it’s also a cutely iconic, homely yet quirky image for incorporating into a design.

In our tea time trend collection, we’ve got plenty of lovely and unusual homages to the world’s favourite beverage…

teacaddy

…like this charming tea-caddy created by Dongedyframe … who knew hauling tea-bags could be such a tough job?

teaforone

and this gorgeous fine bone china tea set for one by JoannaLondon would look charming in any study or workshop – the generously sized cup is perfect for those who like to savour their brew.

lipbalm

or how about this yummy Chai Tea lip balm from AromaFields? Made with all natural ingredients, it brings you the spicy scent of chai tea and moisturises your lips at the same time. Yay for multi-tasking!

Check out the rest of the collection for tea-inspired jewellery, homewares and more … it’ll keep you busy while the kettle’s boiling ;)
