DIY Month Week 4: Upcycling

Unfortunately September is coming to an end and that means DIY Month is too. However, fear not, as we still have one week of tutorials and do it yourself fun to offer you (and, of course, will still have our DIY Friday tutorials should you start to get withdrawal symptoms!)

Our final theme of the month is upcyclingThis theme opens up a whole spectrum of opportunities, and only really has one fixed criteria: that you recycle. This is why it is also referred to as eco-craft. One of the best things about upcycling is that you can breathe a new sense of life into something, or find a whole new use for an item you found at a market, or even at the back of that store cupboard you keep meaning to clear out. The trend of upcycling has really boomed in recent years, alongside the stressed importance on environmental protection and recycling.

If you are looking for some inspiration, head over to our DIY Month page to see some beautiful and eco-friendly DaWanda products, plus a whole array of supplies to help you get an upcycling project off the ground.
