Our special guest this week is Rebecca from the blog Sinnenrausch. Rebecca’s brought along a great tutorial, so you can make this stunning wall organiser for your flat. Have fun with it!

You will need:

  • Plywood panels in different sizes (mine are 6mm thick)
  • Acrylic paint + paint roller
  • Sandpaper
  • Rod (12mm) + 2 wooden blocks
  • Various plastic tubes, bottles or cans
  • Plastic animals (flea market)
  • Wood and super glue

Instructions:

First of all, paint a large plywood board (50cm x 70cm) with acrylic paint, let it dry, lightly sand any rough surfaces with fine sandpaper, and paint again. Once dry, outline various sized sections (side, front and bottom) for the boxes on a plywood plate, saw theses pieces out and glue them together. Lightly sand plastic tubes or round containers before spraying them white.

Allow everything to dry thoroughly and then arrange the boxes on the large plywood panel before gluing them into place with wood glue. I’d picked up the plastic animals from the flea market and previously sprayed them with copper spray. They can be glued to the front of the boxes with super glue. Drill 14 mm holes in the blocks of wood, push the rods through the holes and then glue the blocks on the panel.

And your organiser is ready to hang! Have fun making your own!
