5 groom trends that make your groom (and his men) stand out

We all know that when it comes to the wedding day, there’s only one thing that can be in the centre of attention – the bride. However, nowadays more and more grooms (and his men) like to showcase their personal style through their outfits. For this reason, we have chosen 5 trends that in a simple way (as we know you have a lot of things on your mind) help the groom to stand out in the sea of suits, and show off their personality through their wedding attire.

Mismatched Man

If mismatched bridesmaids are in, why not a mismatched groom? Just combine your favourite checkered shirt, an interesting pattern on your bow tie, and add a floral boutonniere! Together with your best man can choose the same cuts, but in different patterns, and thus create an interesting duo look which still works well together. Finally, you can also work with textures – for example by wearing wooden bow ties!

Wild Socks

Let’s face it, sometimes the only part of his outfit the groom gets to choose are his socks. It’s also a great and easy way to have something in common with the groomsmen! Colourful socks or a pair that matches the bride’s shoes will look perfect on your photos.

Messy Facial Hair and Beards

Attention, brides – if you’re marrying a guy with a burly beard, you no longer have to make him shave for the wedding day! Big, fluffy, scruffy beards aren’t just for lumberjacks anymore. Furthermore that it’s starting to be the new “hipster” trend for weddings – especially when you’re getting married outdoors in a more casual setting. If you’re still a bit concerned about your wedding portraits – check places where he can groom his beard or take care of cosmetics.

Unconventional Cufflinks

What more can you add to a dapper suit? Along with other accessories like boutonnieres, ties, and tie bars, you can choose unique cufflinks. Remember that the “something new” tradition shouldn’t just be reserved for brides. These accessories are a great way for grooms and groomsmen to add some personality and shine to their looks – you can choose cufflinks in the shape of your favourite car or with an important date engraved on them! You can personalise them even more by adding your initials. However, groomsmen, remember that they also make a great gift for your best friend!

Cool colour – purple

A coloured suit doesn’t have to look like a gimmick. What’s more this season, purple plum attire is a must and fits with the mood of a wedding theme that’s full of greenery, where any old traditional tux just wouldn’t be right. If you don’t want to go for the complete look, you can always just choose purple accessories.
